Siegfried Nagel

Siegfried Nagel is Professor of Sport Science (with main foci: Sport Sociology & Sport Management) at the Institute of Sport Science, University of Bern, Switzerland (contact: ). His main fields of interest are sport development and sport organisation research (particularly social integration in organised sport, sport club development, volunteering and professionalization) as well as sport participation and life course research. Prof. Nagel is Director of the Institute of Sport Science at the University of Bern and President of the European Association for Sociology of Sport (eass).
