Peter Farago

Peter Farago, Dr. phil., was until his retirement in 2016 the director of the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences FORS and Professor at the University of Lausanne. A sociologist by formation, he has more than 30 years experience in empirical social research, both inside and outside academia. He directed numerous scientific research projects, and he was the central coordinator and manager of the largest social science research programme ever run in Switzerland with more than 100 projects (“Demain la Suisse”, funded by the Swiss NSF).
